The walk will meet at the Disley Reservoir quarry car park at 10:00am
The walk is about 7 miles moderate we will be meeting at the Tame Valley Country Park Car Park in Carbrook opposite the Carbrook Institute at
This was an easy walk of 7 miles on canal towpaths and dismantled railways around Uppermill and Greenfield. The walk was well supported and the weather remained fair throughout. The map shows the route taken and was tracked on mobile phone using Android's 'Run Keeper' a free app that anyone can download and use on their Mobile phone if it's Android compatable.

Meeting at 10:00am the walk is between 7 and 8 miles. Starting with a gradual climb on to a ridge the 3 miles on the flat and back down again.
The next walk is one from Maggie Evans. We are meeting at Rose Hill Station Marple at 10.00am Sunday 2nd September.
This is an easy 5miles on old railway tracks and canal towpaths no hills.
A good one to mix and chat.
Our next walk is around Werneth Low Hyde on the 14th of October.
We are meeting at the quarry car park on Werneth Low at 10.00am.
From Hyde follow the A627 Dowson Road towards Stockport then turn left opposite the VW garage into Stockport Road follow this and turn right up Joel Lane after the Grapes Pub. Take the second left at the top of the lane and the car park is on your right hope you can make it cheers
Our next walk is on Sunday 18th Novemeber. This will take us from Delph up the Castleshaw Valley over to Denshaw and back down the Tame Valley. The walk is moderate and around 6 miles. We are meeting at the Millgate car park in the centre of the village at 10:00am. Hope to see you all there. Jim

Hi Folks, our next walk is on Sunday 16th December. The walk is 6 miles and will be fairly easy with some climbing at the beginning no harder than our last walk. We are meeting at 10:00am at the free car park just through Uppermill on the A670 heading towards Huddersfield just under the viaduct and over the mini roundabout. It is the first turning on the left before the canal bridge a shaarp left turn. We have started 2 walks from here this year. Hope you can all make it.

He has sorted out a 6 mile walk starting and ending in Marple Bridge, where there is lots of free parking.
I don’t think there will be any trouble getting sufficient spaces at 10.00 am on a Sunday.

There's a walk this coming Sunday 28Th April.
The walk is 6/7 miles and is fairly easy going with good paths and a couple of styles.
We are meeting at the free car park in Carbrook village through the wooden gate opposite the institute in the old part of the village at 10am. The road to take is Buckton Vale Road off Huddersfield Road A635 from Stalybridge traveling to Greenfield Buckton Vale Road is on the right at a mini roundabout at the Kushi Indian Restaraunt the car park is on the left about half a mile along the road.

Sorry for being late again with walk there were a few of us who thought this Sunday would be OK even though it's Bank Holiday.
We are meeting at the free car park at Carbrook along Buckton Vale Road opposite the institute at 10.00 am. The walk is down the Tame Valley and will be 6 miles honest fairly easy.

Thanks for a great walk and especially Bill and Pauline for a great route. I have attached a map and a few statistics plus pictures. According to runkeeper we walked 9.2 miles and climbed a total of 1500 feet.
